No accounts, no ads, and nothing sold. Here is what the site reads and keeps.

Your searches and links

When you search or paste links, we read only those sgcarmart listings. What you type in the search box, and any question you ask on the Ask page, goes to Claude (Anthropic's AI) to read it; for questions we log only how long they were, not the words. Listings and search results are kept for 30 minutes, and a listing's archive history up to a day, so a second look is quick; then they're gone.

From each listing we also pass on the seller's WhatsApp number, as sgcarmart shows it, so the WhatsApp button on a car can open a chat with them. The message it starts goes from your own WhatsApp, and you see it before you send.

What cars are worth

What cars are worth, and how fast they sell, come from our own reads of the cars on sale on sgcarmart: their prices, age, mileage and dealer, never a seller's phone number. The site shows only what we work out from them.

Logs

Like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) keeps a log of requests for a few days: the page or data asked for, your network address, network and browser. We use it to keep the site working. To stop the site being used to copy sgcarmart, we count how many listings each network address compares; those counts are deleted after two days. Visitor numbers come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, and from our own count of pages shown, searches and comparisons each day. A link we hand out, like carkaki.com/go/tg, leaves a cookie for 30 days saying where you came from, so we can tell which places bring people. It holds nothing else, and without such a link there is no cookie.

On your phone or computer

The site remembers your theme and language in your browser's own storage, and what you typed in the search box until you close the tab. Nothing of it reaches us.
